Alan and Denise Geddes
Alan and I are a very ordinary couple. We’ve been married for 32 years. For at least half of that time travelling overland to the Serengeti has captured our imagination. We have two sons, when they were at school there never seemed to be long enough school holidays or enough money so we contented ourselves with trips to Nambia, Mozambique, Zimbabwe, Swaziland and Lesotho. The boys are now grown up- our eldest is married (wonderful daughter in law) and we found ourselves at a crossroads. Hence we are taking our trusty 1993 Nissan Sani and heading up North with only a vague route in our minds, a fair amount of trepidation, a sense of adventure and our faith in the grace of God. We hope to hang on to our sense of humour as well!!

Just one question: What is “very ordinary” about the pair of you?
And one wish: Every blessing as you undertake this dream of a lifetime. Keep safe and go with God.
The people send love back- they’ve been lovely and very warm and welcoming. Lots love
Good Luck with the trip – we didn’t realise you were setting off so soon. We will follow your progress avidly. If you keep going North, eventually you will reach us! keep safe
